Description of issue

A package installed some dependencies and now every time I start up bash I get this line:

complete: nosort: invalid option name

From what I read here it's some packages asking for Bash 4.0, not 3.3.

How can I find out what package has this line in the bash completition?

The bash completions can be found at $(brew --prefix)/etc/bash_completion.d

One option is grep-ing through them. Note that some completions are Bash version aware (e.g. recent Rust clap-based completions) so you may need to look a couple lines above. Maybe something like:

grep -B3 nosort $(brew --prefix)/etc/bash_completion.d/*

Another option is starting bash with it set to print all commands, e.g.

/bin/bash -x

You can then search for output line and see what completion was loaded just beforehand.

It's beautiful, brew install alacritty is the one which installed the non-3.2 compatible bash completion, as well as the one which is overriding my shell to bash 3.3 somehow.
