Changes/status of Appsync in v2

I'm upgrading to v2 but it looks like most of the Appsync functionality is missing. The only constructs seem to be Cloudformation ones (CfnGraphQLApi, CfnGraphQLSchema, etc.), none of the higher level constructs (data sources, mapping templates, etc) exist. I don't see an experimental package for appsync and nothing in the release notes seems to indicate these changes to appsync. What are the plans for appsync in v2? Should I expect that the v1 functionality will be restored?

After reading the docs more thoroughly I answered my own question, all of these are higher level constructs which are "experimental" and thus not in v2.
